First, Dr. Karsten Quint visited the OBS Berge and gave a presentation. The next day, the 9th graders from the OBS made their way to the Segler company, where they were met by Carolyn Ricker and the managing director Thomas Neteler. Together they gave a short talk about the company and informed about the different training courses that the Segler company offers.

As the day progressed, the students were given a tour of the company to learn more about the aspects of the respective apprenticeships. This was followed by a question-and-answer session between employees, trainees and the students. All of the students were very interested and asked lots of questions.
After an exciting day at Segler, three trainees visited the students in their classes the next day. This gave them the opportunity to discuss the training once again and clarify any open questions. To make it more vivid for the students, the trainees gave them the opportunity to try welding themselves. They were also shown how to make their own drawings, as is required in training to become a technical product designer.

The Segler company is always happy to have a lively exchange with young people in order to support them in finding the right apprenticeship.
