What doesn't seem to fit together at first glance makes a lot of sense upon closer inspection. We've received animal support at our open-plan solar facility, and they will now naturally ensure well-maintained green spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sheep in the solar park instead of lawnmowers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A small flock of sheep will now be responsible for maintaining the areas between and under the rows of modules. The animals come from Langenhorst farm in Dalvers, with whom we are collaborating for grazing. Instead of lawnmowers and brush cutters, our new colleagues will keep the grass short. They can easily access areas that are difficult to reach with machinery and work their way evenly through the entire facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the animals, the area is an ideal habitat. They find enough food and shade between the modular tables. For us, this means green maintenance that works without machines, without fuel, and without noise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why green space maintenance is important<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On an open-space system, vegetation must be regularly controlled. If the grass grows too tall, it can shade individual modules and thus reduce the system's performance. Reliable maintenance is therefore not just about aesthetics, but directly impacts yield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, machine mowing is labor-intensive on the winding areas around the modules. It costs time, consumes fuel, and causes additional emissions. The sheep solve precisely this problem in the simplest way imaginable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, the animals conserve the area. Heavy machinery compacts the soil, especially after wet days. The sheep, on the other hand, move calmly across the terrain and reliably keep the vegetation short without anyone having to operate a machine on the grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sustainability that fits mechanical engineering<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sheep in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.segler.eu\/en\/news\/our-energy-hub-for-the-osnabrueck-north-district-enters-its-final-phase\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.segler.eu\/news\/finale-phase-eingelaeutet-unser-energie-hub-fuer-den-osnabruecker-nordkreis\/\">Solar park<\/a> They not only keep the vegetation short. They also fertilize the soil along the way and help the area develop into a valuable habitat. This also benefits insects and other animals, which find an undisturbed retreat between the modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This picture fits well for us. A facility that generates clean energy is maintained in a way that is just as consistently focused on sustainability. The fact that the animals come from a regional partner, the Langenhorst farm from Dalvers, also fits our picture. Mechanical engineering and sheep farming do not exclude each other; they complement each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone who passes by the facility soon should take a look. Die Tiere kommen vom Hof Langenhorst aus Dalvers, mit dem wir f\u00fcr die Beweidung zusammenarbeiten. Statt Rasenm\u00e4her und Freischneider halten unsere neuen Kollegen das Gras kurz. Sie kommen dabei problemlos an Stellen, die mit Technik nur schwer erreichbar sind, und arbeiten sich gleichm\u00e4\u00dfig durch die gesamte Anlage.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>F\u00fcr die Tiere ist die Fl\u00e4che ein ideales Revier. Zwischen den Modultischen finden sie ausreichend Futter und gleichzeitig Schatten. F\u00fcr uns bedeutet das eine Gr\u00fcnpflege, die ohne Maschinen, ohne Kraftstoff und ohne L\u00e4rm auskommt.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Warum die Gr\u00fcnpflege auf der Freifl\u00e4chenanlage wichtig ist<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Auf einer Freifl\u00e4chenanlage muss der Bewuchs regelm\u00e4\u00dfig kontrolliert werden. Denn wird das Gras zu hoch, kann es einzelne Module verschatten und so die Leistung der Anlage mindern. Eine zuverl\u00e4ssige Pflege ist deshalb keine reine Optik, sondern wirkt sich direkt auf den Ertrag aus.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Maschinelles M\u00e4hen ist auf den verwinkelten Fl\u00e4chen rund um die Module allerdings aufwendig. Es kostet Zeit, verbraucht Kraftstoff und verursacht zus\u00e4tzliche Emissionen. Die Schafe l\u00f6sen genau dieses Problem auf die einfachste Weise, die sich denken l\u00e4sst.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Hinzu kommt, dass die Tiere die Fl\u00e4che schonen. Schwere Maschinen verdichten den Boden, gerade nach feuchten Tagen. Die Schafe dagegen bewegen sich ruhig \u00fcber das Gel\u00e4nde und halten den Bewuchs trotzdem zuverl\u00e4ssig kurz, ohne dass jemand eine Maschine \u00fcber die Anlage steuern muss.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nachhaltigkeit, die zum Maschinenbau passt<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Die Schafe im Solarpark halten nicht nur den Aufwuchs kurz. Sie d\u00fcngen den Boden ganz nebenbei und tragen dazu bei, dass sich die Fl\u00e4che zu einem wertvollen Lebensraum entwickelt. Davon profitieren auch Insekten und andere Tiere, die zwischen den Modulen einen ungest\u00f6rten R\u00fcckzugsort finden.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>F\u00fcr uns passt dieses Bild gut zusammen. Eine Anlage, die saubere Energie erzeugt, wird auf eine Weise gepflegt, die genauso konsequent auf Nachhaltigkeit setzt. Dass die Tiere mit dem Hof Langenhorst aus Dalvers von einem Partner aus der Region kommen, passt f\u00fcr uns ebenfalls ins Bild. Maschinenbau und Schafhaltung schlie\u00dfen sich eben nicht aus, sie erg\u00e4nzen sich.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Wer in n\u00e4chster Zeit an der Anlage vorbeikommt, sollte einen Blick riskieren.
