history

SEGLER can look back on a rich corporate history steeped in tradition and innovation. The pioneering spirit of its founder, Friedrich Segler Sr. – he registered more than 50 patents and utility models during his career – continues to this day. This is reflected in the flexible solutions we offer our customers and the implementation of the latest technological trends, as well as in our ambitious efforts to promote young talent and train our employees.

2024

Together with PHWT, SEGLER is starting a two-year cooperation project. The aim is to produce an innovative heating screw with precisely manufactured hollow wing shafts, which will be used for the uniform heating and outgassing of petroleum coke in the anode production for batteries. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection.

Construction of a new office building.

2013

SEGLER is awarded the “Trainer of the Year 2013” prize by the educational region of Northern Osnabrücker Land.

2012

The German Metalworking Association and Charles Coleman Publishing House are awarding SEGLER the M&T Metal Construction Prize for the innovative development concept of its solar wind pylons.

2011

SEGLER celebrates its 100th anniversary and the construction of the new production hall is successfully completed.

2010

SEGLER employee Birgit Lange was awarded as the best of her class in the mechanical engineering course (Private University of Applied Sciences for Business and Technology Vechta – Diepholz – Oldenburg) and employee Michael Berling was awarded as the guild winner in his training as a precision mechanic.

2006

SEGLER employee Andreas Tepe is awarded the guild winner title in the metalworking tradesman's examination by the Osnabrück District Chamber of Crafts. The Rotary Club of Cloppenburg-Quakenbrück awards SEGLER a certificate of honor for exemplary training achievements.

1992

Friedrich Segler Jr. dies at the age of 74. His daughter Birte Quint continues the work in the third generation as a partner of the Segler-Förderanlagen Maschinenfabrik.

1970 - 1980

Constant further developments and new developments in the field of conveyor systems and equipment construction make the SEGLER company an absolute specialist in the field of conveyor technology.

Exhibitions at the Hannover Messe take place.

1963

The process screw division is opened with the development of heating and cooling screws, e.g. for crystallization processes in the sugar industry.

1962

Construction of another factory in Berge. Company founder Friedrich Segler senior dies at the age of 83.

1957

Delivery of the 2,000th SPIRATOR screw conveyor. Development of the first German flexible screw conveyor, SPIRELLA. Start of the development of continuous and discontinuous screw mixers.

1953

Production of SPIRATOR conveyor screws begins.

1947

Reconstruction of the company as “Friedrich Segler Maschinenfabrik” in Quakenbrück, together with Friedrich Segler Jr. The focus of development activities increasingly shifts from the area of agricultural technology to the area of conveyor technology.

1945

Leaving the Pomeranian homeland in the direction of Quakenbrück, Lower Saxony.

1943

Development of the first European forage harvester for drying plants.

1920 - 1930

Start of development of heavy special screws for abrasive, high-viscosity and pasty products. Continuous improvement of stationary and mobile standard screws.

1926

Production of the first water and sludge conveyor screws.

1911

Founding of the “Friedrich Segler Schlawer Maschinenfabrik” in Schlawe, Pomerania, by Friedrich Segler Sr. The company’s focus quickly shifted towards the production of machines such as chopper and lathe machines and smaller equipment needed in agriculture.
