Marlon Bettko, Leon Wilbers, and Bernhard Feldhaus passed their final exams in the summer. Marlon and Bernhard have their Training as a precision mechanic Leon has successfully completed his apprenticeship as a metalworker. All three will remain with SEGLER and continue to work for us as skilled workers. First of all: Congratulations and thank you for your hard work.
Three and a half years of work that paid off
Behind the three of them lie several years of training with everything that entails: vocational school, intermediate exams, shift work in manufacturing, and finally the practical and theoretical final examinations. During this time, they worked on real orders, on conveyor systems, screw flights, and special constructions for customers at home and abroad. Those who train with us do not just stand by, but deliver parts that are subsequently installed at the customer's site. That is exactly what Marlon, Leon, and Bernhard did throughout their entire training, reliably and with visible ambition.
We are particularly pleased that all three are staying. They know our machines, our processes, and our quality standards. This experience is not lost, but continues to grow, and in a few years they will stand next to the next trainees themselves and pass on their knowledge. That is how it has worked with us for decades.
Vocational training secures skilled workers in the region
Training is not a sideline for us, but the foundation of our manufacturing. The shortage of skilled labor in the metalworking trade has long been a daily reality, and those who do not train today will have no skilled workers in five years. Without skilled workers, no production will remain in Germany. As a medium-sized machine builder in the northern Osnabrück district, we therefore take responsibility: we create training positions locally, retain our trainees after their exams, and keep knowledge within the company and the region.
Three passed exams and three hires in one summer show that this path works. Marlon, Leon, and Bernhard, congratulations from all of us. We look forward to continuing our work together.
