For the 01.08. Four new apprentices and three one-year interns began their professional careers at SEGLER. As one of the region's largest employers, we consistently invest in training, knowledge transfer, and practical experience. Our goal is clear: to nurture young talent early on, develop their professional skills, and qualify them for responsible roles. We combine modern technology, streamlined processes, and reliable support. On-the-job training and internal training are integral parts of the program, ensuring professional expertise, teamwork, and quality step by step.
Four new trainees and three annual interns
In this training year we welcome two prospective precision mechanics, a trainee IT specialist and a student who is Dual study program in business informatics at the PHWT Vechta/Diepholz The program combines theory and practice: While the university imparts in-depth knowledge of computer science, business administration, and data management, students at SEGLER gain valuable practical experience and actively participate in exciting IT projects.
The aspiring IT specialist learns the fundamentals of stable IT systems, networks, automation, and data security. They support real-life projects – from configuring new software and hardware to data backup – and document their results in a structured manner. Close collaboration with experienced colleagues and regular feedback ensure a successful entry into the world of IT.
The two precision mechanics are entering the world of manufacturing. Materials science, reading drawings, manual and CNC machining, and metrology form the foundation. As their experience grows, they take on more complex tasks, verify results, and document measured values. Safety, cleanliness, and process discipline are always at the forefront. Working closely with design and quality assurance, they learn the entire process from raw material to the finished component.
Three new interns have also joined our team since August 1st. Two of them support our commercial departments in the office. They gain insights into organization, purchasing, sales, human resources, and administration. Another intern strengthens the design department and works on models and technical drawings. All interns assume responsibility, carefully document their work, and gain first-hand experience of operational processes.
Training with future prospects
At SEGLER, our approach to developing young talent is systematic. An onboarding plan facilitates the start, on-the-job training deepens the foundation, and targeted exam preparation sharpens professional skills. Those who progress faster are assigned appropriate tasks, while those who need more practice are given time, materials, and support. This ensures that everyone can successfully pursue their own path.
SEGLER stands for quality, commitment, and regional strength. Training is a central component of our corporate strategy. It secures expertise, strengthens the region, and creates long-term career paths. Upon successful completion, numerous opportunities open up: specialization in IT infrastructure, software development, or data; in-depth training in machining, assembly, metrology, or quality; collaboration in planning, work preparation, or project organization. Learning never stops with us – internal training courses, external seminars, and targeted continuing education programs keep knowledge up-to-date and practical.
