A suitcase full of expectations and the first flight ticket of her life in her hand - this is how an adventure began for our apprentice Charlotte that she will not soon forget. Her destination: Tralee in Ireland. For four weeks, she swapped her familiar surroundings at SEGLER for the rugged beauty of Ireland's west coast. A move that we as a company wholeheartedly support.
It was a time of firsts for Charlotte. Not only her first flight, but also the first time she was on her own abroad for an extended period of time. However, her initial nervousness vanished as quickly as the plane on the horizon. "I was immediately overwhelmed by the breathtaking nature and the incredible friendliness of the people," Charlotte enthuses. "This open and welcoming nature made it very easy for me to feel at home straight away."
But it wasn't just about getting to know the country and its people. She gained valuable professional insights during an internship at a local craft business. She noticed a crucial difference: "The precision craftsmanship that we display at SEGLER really is our trademark. In Ireland, things are sometimes a little more relaxed," she says with a smile. This experience has sharpened her awareness of the quality standards that we live by at SEGLER. Incidentally, her English became more confident and fluent from day to day.
Charlotte's conclusion is clear: "These four weeks were an invaluable experience. I have become more independent and can only recommend every trainee to take such an opportunity!"
We at SEGLER are incredibly proud of Charlotte's courage and commitment. Her journey is a perfect example of what we mean by supporting young talent: We not only invest in professional skills, but also in the personal development of our young talents. Because we are convinced that anyone who thinks outside the box will become a first-class specialist and a strong personality - and that is precisely the foundation for our shared future.
