August 1st is traditionally a day of new beginnings and future orientation in our company. In 2020, we were once again proud to welcome a new generation of specialists to SEGLER-Förderanlagen Maschinenfabrik GmbH. Seven new trainees laid the foundation stone for their professional careers on this day - a strong signal for the future and proof of our ongoing commitment to promoting young talent.
We are delighted that so many training places have been filled again this year and would like to welcome our new talents to the team!
An impressive range of expertise
The variety of training paths chosen in this year's class is particularly impressive and shows the broad spectrum of expertise that comes together in our mechanical engineering department:
- Three trainees start as precision mechanic. You will immerse yourself in the world of micrometers and learn how to manufacture the high-precision mechanical hearts of our systems.
- A trainee becomes a Metal worker trained. His domain will be steel construction, where he will design the robust and load-bearing structures of our machines.
- A trainee starts his apprenticeship as Specialist for metal technology. It becomes an all-rounder in metalworking and supports production with essential skills.
- A trainee takes the path of the Technical product designer in. At the CAD workstation, he will create the digital twins of our systems and supply the technical drawings for production.
A new path: theory and practice in a dual study program
A special highlight this year is the filling of a place for a Dual study program in the field of engineering technical systems. With this step, we are linking academic engineering directly with operational practice. Our new student will alternate between studying at the university and at our company, thus combining theoretical knowledge with practical application right from the start - a model that fits perfectly with our innovation-driven industry.
