Sawing, drilling and welding instead of sitting at a school desk: As part of the „Generations Workshop“, our production hall in Berge was briefly transformed into a very special kind of learning space. Pupils from IGS Fürstenau lend a hand and create something for their schoolyard.
The pupils of the IGS Fürstenau have a great leisure area in the school building. What was missing until now was suitable seating for the lawn in front of it. Instead of simply buying furniture, Marian, Hermann, Felix, Noah, Mark and Felix are now taking matters into their own hands - with the active support of our SEGLER team.
Sawing, drilling, welding: experience craftsmanship up close
For the six pupils, it's currently time to get out of the classroom and into their work clothes. Here they are learning the practical side of working with metal. They are sawing, drilling and welding to produce a robust and durable seating group for their classmates from raw materials.
We are particularly impressed by the well thought-out planning of the young designers. As a special highlight, the team integrated a holder for a parasol directly into the middle of the table. This guarantees that the new bench will be a popular meeting place in the school playground even on hot summer days.
Taking responsibility with the Cause Foundation
We are carrying out this project in cooperation with the Root cause foundation through. Their „Promoting good causes“ approach is 100% in line with our values. It is about making positive changes on a small scale and strengthening responsibility for the future. We want this project to have a „snowball effect“: The students' enthusiasm for creating their own work should spread to others and serve as a multiplier for career guidance.
We are proud to be able to accompany Marian, Hermann, Felix, Noah and Mark on this journey. We look forward to continuing our collaboration in the coming weeks and are excited to see the finished result!
